Tokyo Meeting

that'll be hot. I will call up Mr. Toru Kogure and some members from NHK, too so I can introduce you folks for the future business possibilities. RED ONE party, yeah!

I should have the Brevis flip unit by then.

I'm going to call the assistant producer from Aoi for making a deal with us for their next big feature film.

Would Blackmagic Multibridge Eclipse feasible to test REDONE?

Noel, see you on Sunday. Need HVX200 as second cam (for behind scenes)?

Should be ok, the only issue(?) may be the lack of 1080p SDI support as of today. I think they're working on getting that operational but right now it's 720p only.

Then again, the camera's main purpose isn't live output so much as RedCode RAW at 4K, to be colour corrected in post using any number of tools.

But that's why I'll bring it over once I get it, to test all this stuff out and see what works and what doesn't! :)

Okay Paul, I will have good size RAID space open.

Also, I got the magazine editor interested to make a report on this, so I can cover this and that will lead to advertise your service, if you don't mind.

Paul,

I officially got asked by VideoAlpha magazine for the report.
They are even thinking us to do a monthly column.

Hi all. I am short of hands this coming Sunday and really need a PA.

You need 0 experience but 100% interest. If your interested in Documentaries this may be your cup of tea - or shooting anything in general.

FYI shooting on HPX500 (555 here in Japan).

Travel and lunch all paid for. Im sorry I cant offer more at this stage.

PM if interested and I will provide you with more details.

Cheers
Noel

Just came home from a meeting/party where people was talking about the "the only red one" in Japan. Most have been yours visceralpsyche. :)

Hi all!

I'd like to share with you tonight some of the footage we shot on Sunday with Kaku Ito, Takashi Chiba, Ivan Kovac and myself.

To say this camera is amazing is an understatement I think!

Here's a link to the reduser.net thread where I've posted some stills we captured.

Enjoy..... :)

Sorry for the intrusion, but I figured a thread full of Japan based shooters would be the best place to ask...

I'm documenting a California based band touring Japan March 9th - April 15th. While it's primarily single camera (HVX), they have expressed interest at 1 multi camera live shoot for 1 of the bigger 3000 capacity venues. Does anyone have suggestions for a rental house in Osaka? Looking for 3 more HVX w/ FS-100 Firestores.

Once again, sorry for the intrusion. Feel free to PM instead of further cluttering up this thread.

Thank you for your time.

I'm bumping this up to say that I currently live in Fukushima, here fresh out of college and doing the whole English teacher bit.

I did a decent amount of video work in college, largely working live multicam shows and events. I'd like to keep my feet wet in the video world, but with no equipment of my own I'm sitting pretty stagnant.

If any of you guys need an extra set of hands for a production, I'd be up for making the trip down to Tokyo (including Kanto and lower Tohoku).

There's a highschool in Fukushima that teaches video production in art class and I'm helping to build their system. Maybe I can introduce you to them. Next time I come up to Fukushima then I will let you know ahead of time. My company also have stable in Sendai, but my main business is in Shibuya Tokyo.
