I'm up to 5 websites now. Most aren't film related but still, that seems like a lot. They're so damn cheap to put up. I can't help myself.

How many you have?

Just one: www.jonstarrfilms.com

Using it as a portfolio. Not much up yet, because there's not much that I feel I can put in my portfolio at the moment.

It really is cheap, especially when you're hosting it on your mother's server and only have to pay the yearly payment for the name. ;)

Hey Jon,

I make the same kind of simple sites. Just the basics. I hate clutter, I like the look of your site. Too many sites overwhelm you with information and you can't even tell what the hell they're about.

Btw, if anyone thinks they lack the technical acumen to create a site, you don't. I'm a total bonehead on technical stuff--I don't even know what html stands for, and I put several sites without much trouble. I use this software: http://www.wysiwygwebbuilder.com/. It's only 40 bucks. There are other that are free.

Okay, I have to go now, I need to put up more sites.

im in the process of building out an arsenal of web sites. so many are in their infancy.

Sabi Pictures - www.sabipictures.com - our theatrical motion pictures including sites for our narrative features: Heart of Now, White Knuckles, Blue in Green, Wanderlust, Falling Rock, The New Pink, Produkt, etc.

Sabi Network - www.sabinetwork.com - i'm actually beginning work on this today. this site will house info on our original HD broadcast and web series: Can't Get a Break, Changed Earth, Inside Heart of Now. After LoveFest, my short will likely be the pilot of an original web series here as well. Sabi Network will also acquire content from other filmmakers, riding the crest of new distribution models.

Sabi Creative Agency - www.sabicreativeagency.com - our site for the DVD/EPK/HD-DVD/Blu-Ray work we do for all the major studios.

i have some other sites that are intended to support these three. but getting these sites off the ground and filled with content is just a small part of our 40 page business plan for 2008 (we've been researching and developing it for weeks).

Thanks. :)

Yeah I hate cluttered sites. I'm also very basic in my knowledge of building a web site. Never figured I needed something fancy anyways. You're work should speak for itself.

HTML stands for... hyper text.... micro language? Or something something, lol. I learned this in class but forgot. :P Feel free to correct me for my obvious wrongness.

I have four main sites, but many other domains that simply forward to one of them:

TwistedLincoln.com -- This is my company homepage, and the primary portal for my various endeavours.

FreedomSampler.com -- This is a project I've been pushing pretty hard -- it's a CD full of Free Software that is designed to be easily redistributable -- the full source code included on the disc, so you can comply with the GPL without doing anything special. The programs chosen on the disc run in Windows, but all have versions available for GNU/Linux -- making it easier for people to migrate in the future without having to learn all new applications.

OggWatch.com -- Hasn't been updated in a bit (due to my lack of time, mostly), but it's primary function is to educate people on the uses of Free multimedia formats such as Ogg Vorbis, Ogg Theora, and FLAC. When I'm finished with the huge task of cataloguing all of the links, it will also serve as a directory of sites that sell or give away content in those Free file formats.

TonyLovasco.com -- Nothing really there yet, but when I'm done, this will serve as my personal blog and political commentary site.
