Feature Film Trailer... Shot On DVX 100B

I am not sure the exact model number because there were a couple different ones, but they were all wireless lectrosonics lavalier mics.

I will be sure to let people know when it is out. I believe the band that sang the song is Antelope. I/we appreciate all of your positive feedback. It gets us excited about the work we have ahead of us.

That looked really great guys let us know when it becomes available for purchase.. i love to support indie films.. and I'm sure you guys will return the favor when I finally complete my first film. Keep shooting!

Thanks again for the positive response. It really helps keep a person motivated when one is tackling as much as we are right now.

Camera settings were Master Ped at -5, Cinelike V gamma, Cine-like Matrix, Color Temp was usually around -2 but that would vary a little depending on certain factors. Thats really all I changed. I will try to post some clips from the films as they become available.

Some very nice shots in there. Good editing, too. It definitely piqued my interest.

I found the music overwhelmed the dialogue in a couple of places, but maybe that's just because I was watching it on my laptop with its tinny speakers.

your film looks very interesting, i'd love to watch the feature. keep us posted!

ps. some of the shots look hd, especially the one landscape shot of the bridge, its amazing the kind of quality youre getting from your dvx

This is a trailer for a feature film that was shot this past summer. I was the DP on this film. We shot it on the DVX-100B in 24pa with the stock lens since the budget was very minimal. The film is entitled Carry Me While You Wait.

Hope you enjoy

Great work, but why is the light primarily coming from the left side when there is a practical on the right side? I haven't seen the whole scene, but I would hope there's some sort of large practical light over there as a motivation for the light?

Isn't HD just more pixels and usually camera that is worse in low light? I don't understand how you could tell if anything looks like HD from low resolution web video?

Salils, There is another practical light to the left side of the screen identical to the one on the right. It is actually set further forward than the one on the right which would cause the light to fall at a more frontal angle than the one on the right thus making it seem more apparent.

Ah okay...just curious what kind of set up did you use for that scene's lighting?

Our whole lighting kit consisted of an Arri 5 light kit, 1 kino 4' 4 bank, one Kino 2' 2 bank, and 1 Kino Diva. We had limited space since it was actually shot on a set that we built in an attic to look like a basement. The lighting had to remain pretty simple. For the scene we used 1 Arri 1k open face with Chimera to the left, 1 Kino Diva to the right, 1 Arri 150 fresnel hanging in the stairwell, and we used the 4x4 Kino behind the couch facing up for the belly of the fish.

great look

great look

i really like the look you established, what if any kind of light did you use? What are you editing on? over all i really like it
