Check-

Congratulations! I'm so glad they found an award for Check. It was the most unique entry, in my opinion. Made me REALLY want to know more about all those characters.

go, "Check", it your birthday! Thanx for everyone that commented. And congrates to the winners aka everyone that entered.:)

:)Thanx hybridtheory, Paul, JDS and GF.

Congratulations, Dale! I'm happy we've been recognized as a zig among zags -- and a fine group of zags to boot. Congratulations to the top three and, n fact, to everyone who entered this really strong fest. Also, a hearty thanks again to everyone for your comments and support throughout the fest.

Finally, I'd like to acknowledge our stellar cast. At least one person in this thread asked if they were "real" actors and I believe Aram mentioned that all but one are, in fact, pros. I should have written about them much earlier in the game, so I just wanted to add a little detail:

Barry, our lead, lives and breathes acting and has a lot of stage experience as both an actor and a professional musician.

Molly, the little girl, made her acting debut here, but expect to see more of her. She innately grasped our ambiguous story and asked such intuitive questions about her character that she led me to a firmer grasp of Dale's vision.

Humza, who played John in the office scene, is avidly pursuing an acting career in New York.

Tadhg, the ultra-cool motorcycle-riding Watcher #1, has been acting for years and had a recurring role on Xena: Warrior princess as well as stage experience and small roles in feature films, including Prime.

Steve, aka Steve2Bees, who was both the enigmatic Watcher #2 and Second-Unit DP, has acted on the stage and is just all around one of the most creative, energetic, well rounded artists that I will ever know.

Jack, Watcher #3, has extensive stage and screen experience and is a SAG officer in NYC. He is also a helluva good guitarist. He joined our cast at around midnight one night when we had an 8 a.m. call time the next morning and one of our cast members called to say he had to withdraw. It was a fortuitous turn of events as he was so menacing in the cafe scene.

Many thanks to each and every one of them!

Oy vey! Wish the edit function was working... I would like to add a big thanks to an unsung hero on our crew. Sean McQueen, officially credited for sound, was much more than our boom guy -- he was always at the ready to pitch in in any way we needed and was a huge help to me personally during some very long days when I'd had zero sleep the night before. A positive attitude, a big smile, easy-going -- a really great asset on the set. Thanks, Sean!

I'm glad Check got a nod! A fantastic film that had no closure to it, but the questions it produced at the end was worth the wait! Loved it!

we decided on a specific look before we started and did some tests, So the milky shadow are achieved by to things. One: we shot with more even the less contrasty lighting. (and in some shots used smoke) two: In CC i added some color to the darks which sometime give a more smooth look. Hopefully aram will hop on with some lighting specifics.

Nicely done. It was interesting to watch. Only problem I noticed was that the audio didn't flow together well in a few places.

yeah, there where a few audio issues, i was new to sound. stil am but getting better. watch my latest film on the forum "The Circle". I think i was a bit better with the sound but still learning.
