Can you mention a few details on the color correction process?

hey geoff,you may in my book have some of the most creative and cinematic videos i've seen indi or major.i've noticed a couple of the same people in this video as it was in one of your other videos,by any chance they are inspiring actors or acctreses as i'm looking at a couple of them to potentialy cast in a short i have coming up.oh as for the letus at high shutter speeds,this will be where the letus becomes human.my experience is anything over 120 then your pusshing it.

Bill, althought I predominantly use Shake for CC, I used Magic Bullet within FCP this time around. I almost never use the presets when using MB, moreso I tend to just tweak; adjust the color temp, saturation and overall contrast of the image.

I can't remember specifics but overall, the idea was to remove saturation and crush the blacks for all the military/fighting footage. The soldier returning home was geared around really strong colorization; so that was actually a two-step process. We made sure to shoot a lot of his footage around sunset which would give us great natural color in camera which we then boosted in post. This is probably best seen with the footage of the soldier coming home when he is on the bench at the bus stop or at the chain fence on the bridge.
