I'm going to pull the trigger on a 35mm adapter today..

I joined this forum around the beginning of the year and ever since I have been reading about 35mm adapters and watching some great footage by fellow members. Finally there seems to be an adapter that fits my budget without losing quality. That would be the letus Economy. I will order with Letusdirect today. Any advice from anyone? By the way I will be shooting SD for now with my good old DVX100b. Also, Aaron at letusdirect has been really helpful.

As far as lenses go so I currently have.
Pentax 28mm f2.8
Petnax 50mm f2.0
Tokina135mm f2.8
Pentax 35-80mm f3.5-f5.6

Congrats on taking the plunge, but just remember that this is only the begninning of your spending! Chances are, by the time you're done, your accessories could well cost more than your camera did in the first place. I pulled the trigger on mine about a month ago, and I've discovered that I'm at the bottom of a huge pit I need to dig myself out of...

Thanks Malcolm. What accessories have you bought? Rails and follow focous? Maybe external monitor?

Aaron at letusdirect is a very good guy. He and Hien both will take reall good care of their customer. Top notch Support for sure.

Rails and FF are VITAL to the use of a 35mm adapter, in any moderately professional production.

Don't expect an AC to be able to pull focus off the lens because of no FF with any reliability, and I wouldn't trust mounting an adapter without rails anyways, just too much pressure on the lens mount.

These are items that should be ordered WITH the adapter!

I hear ya :) Christmass is comming! Plus I wanna see what kind of rails letus offers.

I got the indirails 18", but it doesn't seem to have the height offset necessary for the adaptor to give an 85mm offset to lens centre. As a result I'm waiting on the letus rails, and I'm hoping i can just buy the rail blocks since i already have the rails themselves.

Yeah hopefully since you already have them. That is why I'm waiting for the letus rails.
