Grabs from today's shooting, sgpro/dvx.

It was one of those shoot that had to go really fast because the people who were willing to be a part of the vid was all in a rush to get somewhere else.
In other words, our setup time for each shot was like 5 seconds, so therefore we just quickly looked for the places in the bus which offered the best light. We considered to use a bouncecard on the guy standing down in the stair of the bus, but since we had left the bouncecard in our car in the parking lot, we agreed that there was enough light and that we didn't want to waste time getting it.
All in all, for us it's always a comprimise between time and detailed work, and this time we didn't have much of either.

- Cheers!

it came out very well I think. Suprised you paid 200 usd and forgot the bounce card... but then again... I keep forgetting to bring the film.

Thanks man, my settings on the dvx was:

Detail level: -4
Master ped: -6
Gamma: nromal
Matrix: normal
Rest set to zero.
Shot with the sgpro adapter and 55mm f 1.2.

I have to say, we didn't really forget our bouncecard(as our parked car was 30 meters away), but yeah, should have brought it on the bus :)
This was actually our last shot, and we were worried people would leave before end. It was one of those shoots were we didnt have time to communicate and the actors would start acting out before the go, like a documentary, very rushed.

Intresting do you always shoot with gamma and matrix at normal?

The normal at gamma combines with 35mm adapter blends out the overexposed whites nicely when it's out of focus.

Ahh, the magic hour... The way the sun halos those chair adds beautiful dimension. Really nice stuff.

Thanks mate, I like the light on the top of the chairs as well :)
John, I use the 55mm most of the time because it gives more light and I like the look of it, but I also used a 28mm and tele 75-150mm for this job.
I bought the pentax 55mm f1.2 used for about 200 US dollars.

- Cheers!
