come on please, the ex-1 by sony sucks at many things but has somethings you need to take seriously

A powerful filmmakers tool:

we want 1920 by 1080 FULL raster HD
2/3 or 1/2 inch is fine
excellent low light capability
possibly more stops to work with
CINEFILES are awesome

price it under $10,000

and you got the market

I probably speak for a few thousand users

positive feedback and addon features you wanna see are welcomed

And doln''t forget an HD lcd THAT CAN FLIP.:)

There's an HVX200a improvement thread already as a sticky, I believe.

....Ahh, what the heck.

AVC INTRA!

HD LCD!

1/2 or 2/3 CCDs, no CMOS!

1440 x 1080 native more than enough for me!

4:2:2 ! Don't lose this!!!

HD-SDI!

Handheld form factor!

Variable frame rates up to 120fps!! An LG mobile phone can do it, why can't you! :)

And you got the market FOR YEARS- Positive!

what happened to your 4K film system off an HVX, 'pictures to download' 'n all that?

I think the HVX will hold the market for a few years as a workhorse, 'big-pictures-off-a-small-camera', 'solid-state-tried-and-tested-while-the-others-get-their-****-in-order' solution.

And surely not just a flip solution for 35mm adapters, but a full rotate one.

the 4k res looked like a bad effect so we dropped it. Staying on topic.

Panasonic, your 4:2:2 kicks butt so do your cinegamma, VFR

Noise, not all the time but at times its there

again, full raster 1920 1080, some are looking for filmouts on a budget

most of the features about the HVX we all LOVE, please dont skimp on native HD

I don't believe it, the forum automatically replaced a 't' with a '*'

that's censorship for you, land-of-the-free...

And while at it: in stead of P2 cards swapable SATA hard disks of the shelf. :Drogar-BigGrin(DBG)

Oh and ah.... and stay away from that home video camera design. My customers want to see big bodys with lot´s of switches and lights for their money.
