Hi all,

Well, I locked myself into a transaction for a zoom lens next week, and don't have enuff to pay for it. So, the only expendable item in my inventory is my crane. I just don't use it. Used in my apartment running tests about three times. Never used in the field. I jumped the gun on this purchase, and now I gotta take a hit.

Here it is:

Kessler KC-12/8 Ultra Plus Package reg price: $789.90 / selling for $620 obo Price dropped to $589.00
12/8ft crane
vertical brake
tool-less package
soft (logo'd) carrying case

I scratched the vertical brake (shown in pic 4), and there a few fastening marks on the weight bar (pic 3 - this is unavoidable). Other than that, the crane is in the same condition as it was when received. I have the instruction manual and all accessories (cables, handle, screws, etc...). I'll add pics later tonight.

Shipped or Local pick up. PM me w/ zipcode for shipping quotes. Paypal ok.

Hey Luis,

Well for the longest time I didn't have a monitor. I replaced my 3192 with a 515mvb for lighter travel and it doesnt take much weight. I dont like the crane sitting on my manfrotto 516 despite what kessler.com says it can handle.

So the absense of these things left the package incomplete, and kinda unuseable until i bought those other items. At this point I now have a monitor, but have yet to get a sturdier pair of sticks and head.

I shoulda bought a dolly before crane IMO. I jumped the gun. My friend also has a Kessler 12 package so I can always use his.

Ahhh, gotcha.
I was just curious if there was something about the crane specifically that stopped you from using it (set up, size, etc).
Makes sense though.

Ah no. The crane is great. I've mostly shot event stuff where i'm hand held. It's smooth, easy to operate. Even for a first-timer.

I actually finally will be using a crane for a local spot we're shooting this weekend, but my friend said we'd use his kessler crane. My crane gets no love.

Someone give this crane some love! $640 to love it long time!

Tough call. I had the whole rig on my 516 fine. It wasn't the assembly or operation that was the problem. It was the continuous operation and wear that bothered me. I was cool for the one or two times I tested it using the tilt capability. However, I imagine that continued use would require a more heavy duty head.

I would suggest you purchase the hercules head (sold on kesslercrane.com) in addition to this setup if you wanted to be really safe. At least that's what I would do. It is made for this crane, so you know you are safe. And you don't have to jeopardize your expensive fluid head.

If you have a 501 or 503 or even a 516, cartoni focus or dv10 I wouldn't suggest it for repeated use.... but like I said, I haven't used it enough to say for sure. All I know is I woudn't risk it. 501 or 503 or anything in that league definitely wont cut it.

Already have an interested buyer for shipping. Any NYC residents interested lemme know by Monday or to UPS it goes :)

Havent heard from the interested buyer, so I'm willing to ship. Paypal ok, I'll eat the fees.
