Firestore PAL or NTSC???

We recently purchased the Firestore FS-100 for our HVX200.

The HVX is a PAL and the FS-100 was purchased in the US, we seem to have an un determined problem...The FS fires up okay but cannot record, well maybe it does but how do we overcome this?

Is the FS format dependant?

We didn't think it would be as it is technically a 'DRIVE' and drives are not NTSC or PAL dependant.

Please help.

There are two FS-100 models, one for PAL cameras and one for NTSC cameras. Lame, but true.
 
Yeah, I found that out today.

The Firestore I got from the US is NTSC and refuses to work with my PAL HVX.

Focus can put a firmware patch on your Firestore.... for 290 Euros :Drogar-Angry(DBG):

I think that´s a dammed ripp off.
They shoud do that for free as customer care.

I got that device since one day and I´m allready pissed with that company.

Price FS-100 in Germany:
New - $2812
used on Ebay: $2200

Price FS-100 in the US
New - ?
used on Ebay $1200

Even if I pay for the PAL patch it is cheaper, but it still sucks how much they charge for a simple Firmeware swap.
