Footage is looking very good indeed, below is a quick grab:

We are currently shooting some footage to upload soon.

All comments welcome!

Kinda looks to me like my Letus Extreme! just a little more cumbersome

This is just an add-on for people who already own the SGPRO. It shows a commitment to his customers that he continues to update his product. No need to be snarky.

Wayne,

That looks great and I am looking forward to it....but is all that shimming sturdy and safe?
And I aggree...someone ought to give us a good rail system for the flippers...something that doesn;t cost $850.....

Welcome to the flipped game Wayne :-) 3xm, our carbon fibre rails system was designed for flipped systems from day one...and it's 1/3 of that price. We've taken them to the next step to increase stiffness 75% over stainless, at half the weight.

I think Ill stay away from another piece of glass, as my NLE is Vegas with a easy to use flip function built in. Maybe everybody should get Vegas... yuk yuk yuk

I don't think the issue people have with flipped footage applies to post as much as on set.

Also, giving a client (who's not familiar with 35mm adapters) upside down footage will confuse the hell out of them. It gives you the chance to shoot with the adapter more often. Also when you trim in avid or roll in FCS your footage goes back upside down! somewhat annoying. dealing with upside down dailies is annoying as well. with a flipped adapter I can use a nice crt (pvml5) on set, which I was reluctant to turn upside down.

I always tell the clients through email (for paper trail) that the footage will come in upside down and I send them a test clip to make sure they can right it up. I also tell them we will be flipping the monitor over so you can see what it really looks like but to remember it will be upside down and reiterate it during shooting. I even tell them if they can't figure it out I will come down and help them for free.

Is the adapter fully encased so there is very little if none any dust to get into the adapter like the old FE problems had? And also I noticed you were using different screws for the gear ring. Is that the old protype screws to hold the lens to the gears?

Wayne's adapter is a spinning one not a vibrator like the Letus and the Brevis. Dust is not a problem as i understand it. This is a real plus.
