this whole thread is about you upressing a 720p image to 2k image.

ok, its higher res, but its still the same quality as the 720, so what is the point of all this?
u can take a 720 and upres to 4k all day long, if that makes you feel better.
The color and image quality will always be the same.

Then suddenly you move on to, that you made a hydra like system for the hvx, lol
And that you had invented this and made it fully operational several hours?

Well, if you truly did make this, then right on. but lets see some proof.

can you show us a better picture of the mod with it installed. I can see a cable coming out of the base of the handle, but thats it. I can tape a cable to my hvx too. It took Juan over a year to get Andromeda going. You must be full of it. This is definately a real dream. Once pixel shifted, the hvx resolution can go no higher before compression. If your claiming 4k, then there is definately upscaling. Don't hold your breath on this one people. The fact he says "I got 10.5 stops last night" is a joke. Also, this thread started shortly after after Juan announced the end of the andromeda/hydra technology. killfilm just wants some attention and he sure got it, with everyone looking for a savior after there beloved hydra dies.

Everybody chill. What's with all the hostile attitude here? I think we should give killfilm a chance to get his footage up and show us what he's talking about.

I'm sure when Juan first started working on Andromeda there's plenty of doubters. I'm sure we'll change our attitude really quick if this turns out to be true.

jade, a respectable person. So many attacks but no patience. Clip is coming in the next half hour.

All I can say is....

?

By the way, I have upressed my andro footage to 2k using photozoom pro, and it works really well. I think the results are better than the HVX at 1080 personally, but then again, I have a truck load more data to work with.

family is over, cousins are here, clip still coming, just finding the best setting.
still here for you

So, to be clear - you are claiming that in the past 24 hours you somehow bypassed all compression from your HVX and have recorded 4:4:4 uncompressed 2K footage that shows 10.5 stops of dyanmic range?

I'm sure you can understand people's ... reluctance... to believe that.
To put things in perspective, it took Juan over a year to develop Andromeda (close to two, if memory serves).

But - I suppose once you upload a clip there won't be any reason to argue.

I hope you've been working on your uncompressed HD HVX mod for at least an hour Zak. It's not as easy as it looks. I'm almost finished with mine though. I finally found the right drill bit for my Makita.

A couple more tweaks of the "sharpen" filter in iMovie and I should be all set.

gentleman, no one claimed to put an HVX mod together in 24 hour, no one said it, no one did it but it took some collabaration from 3 university grads, a professor and my fiance. please dont put words in my mouth, 24 hours for a HVX mod, i think you would have heard it first in the Guiness books, like comeon. Uploading

all right. damn. i'm out. had some problems.

does anyone have some epoxy?

Oh, Zak, another contender for the vacated Reel-Stream throne bites the dust! The epoxy is key though. Probably where you went wrong.

Here's my progress so far:

Regular HVX footage (Re-sized for the sake of comparison)

Uncompressed HD (Re-sized for optimal viewing)
