i used to hate it when people would always say "use the search button".

Adobe ON Location (DV RAck) is one way.

If your NLE supports live capture, then just plug the HVX up to your laptop with a firewire cable. Set your record mode on the HVX to anything other than one 24pn or 30pn and then setup your NLE or capture utility accordingly. And, read the manual, if you haven't.
