3rd Los Angeles HVX200 User Group Meeting

I did last time we had a meeting, it was about a month before maybe just a few weeks before I got mine. The guys were extremely welcoming.

Thanks for organizing it. Sorry it took me so long to post.
I will be attending, and i will be bringing the following so people can see it:

  • HVX200
  • Redrock M2 adapter,
  • Redrock Follow Focus
  • the CARRION 8.4" LCD 1024x768
  • Firewire Saver
  • FS1 Pro (stabilizer able to handle 20lb camera and 8lb counter weight)
  • and Maybe the FS-Forever
  • also maybe my Home Made Crane??

would be great to see you. I hope you have other things to do in LA besides this meeting. That's a long trip for just this meeting.
 
Luis, you should most definitely bring the FS-Forever!

That's a hot product and I'd love to check out the looks of it
 
so anyone got a friend of a friend with a projector?

what are we doing for that?

Personally I don't want to show you guys A Walk in the Dark till I get to re-CC in the new monitor or re-mix in the new speakers, but I want to see some stuff man! :)
 
how much could that be anyway right?

just an ok 1080p then we could all chip in and it'd become very little...


I wish I had my short ready... :(

But I'd chip in for that if it were cheap and we had enough guys, it could become like $10 each...
 
Matty_g, why not find out who has content to show first. and if we will have enough time. it doesn't make sense for you to rent it if people are not going to show their work
 
same here but nobody had offered... I figured nobody felt like bringing their big screen

that would be plenty good I am sure, from the HVX like you said too
 
Hey I haven't been to the first meets but I'd like to come this time. I just pretty much have an hvx and the standard goodies however. Would that be alright?

Dvxuser "DC" is actually organizing this, but I'll answer you unofficially from what I've gather by going to the meetings.

Yes, that is alright. even if you didn't own an HVX you are welcomed to come by.

We call it an HVX meeting rather than a DVX meeting not because we feel high and mighty that we own an HVX (in fact I think we all feel fortunate to have one), but rather because we will be discussing topics related to the HVX specifically. But anyone is welcome to come even if they own other cameras or if they don't own a camera at all.
