Premiere CS3 Now Importing Native .mxf files

Yes it plays in realtime. I have an average system...A Core2 duo 6400, 2 gigs of RAM and 2 7200RPM raided drives...

yeah it plays in realtime just fine. I can stack about 3 (non heavy processing like "camera blur" or the other few fx that always suck down frame rate) filters each onto 2 different 1080p layers and cross dissolve them in realtime, so the 180 flip is really nothing. It requires very minimal processing to just flip the display of the pixels. essentially its not actually changing the image in any way.. just changing its display order. just always use adaptive resolution and youll be fine. If im only flipping the image and adding a couple of basic filters, I can play it back full quality just fine in realtime. Im sure 3xm can do the same given his system specs. ..as a general system tip though one thing that i did to speed up overall system performance is to use seperate drives for every need/requirement on the machine. I use a WD raptor 10,000 RPM drive that is dedicated to only running the O.S. (no programs or media are on this drive) .. then a seperate raptor for a drive that only runs the programs off of it, and a seperate 3 HDD total volume 1+ TB SATA raid 0 drive for accessing all the media of any kind that is used for edit/composite/ect. and a seperate huge external backup drive to backup the media drive and other important files to. having the O.S. ..programs. and media being able to read and write from thier own dedicated drives without interference from one another really speeds up performance overall because alot of the realtime performance bottleneck issues peope have is from trying to make thier machine run an O.S. , run a program(s), and read and write media files from the either same drive, or a couple dirves that arent fast enough. not to mention some people run machines that arent dedicated to begin with and they have alot of things loading at boot, and are running a bunch of worthless internet ect. services in the background the entire time. the machine should be running the O.S. .. the program(s) you are currently working in , and nothing else unless its actually required to do what you are trying to do.

Raylight always comes to the rescue! Will it do it without any generation loss?

Yes we figured out a way to do it without recompression. Also unlike using an effect in your timeline it will allow you to view the thumbnails right-side up and view your clips in the bin right-side up.
