Lucky Duck
I just posted my "reel" in the Canon section...not exactly in the traditional sense but just a mish mosh of footage, including some Letus FE and Extreme stuff:

Quicktime version: http://www.pinelakefilms.com/reel.html

Thanks to Phil Bloom for the inspiration to use the Village soundtrack (this is placeholder music until I have an original soundtrack which will be in the works soon).

I just poured an ice cold Coke, turned on a little Frank Sinatra and watched away - absolutely stunning -

:)

man that was sooo good!!!!! Steve i loved it!!! i would like to visit there sometime when it's not raining.... that would be a great commercial for tourism! people would be packing their bags!

Thanks guys. Kimko, I'd invite you to Washington but, with all this biker thing going on, you'd probably scare my kids :)

BTW, the footage is from a lot of different places, including New Mexico, Wyoming, Idaho...and, of course, Washington.

Very nice! I love it and the music from The Village really compliments your footage.
I have watched it three times now and am still trying to figure out which shots had an adapter and which ones didnt. Could you give us a summary? Also what where your settings in the camera?(detail,V detail, coring)

Thanks. I used my VIVIDRGB setting for the XHA1 and my Panalook setting on my XLH1, both available from dvinfo.net

All the shots of my daughter interior and exterior were shot using the Extreme. The moving shot of the Bison and then the closeup towards the end was shot with the FE. The second to last shot with the shack at dusk was shot with the FE. The lighthouse shot was with the FE. The colorful fall shots with my son were shot with the Extreme.

I think that's it...

Disjecta,
You have an amazing talent and eye for composition. The one thing that's bothering me is this... and I'm saying this while being humble and with utmost respect:
*Using the copyrighted music from "The Village" while sounding out of this world is probably not the best way to go with a demo reel. If this is just for showing it to your friends and what not that's one thing but if you are trying to sell your work and you have music from a movie soundtrack to me it looks a bit unprofessional. Take it for what it is.
I still think you're the man though. Rock on!

Thanks, Jgastelb, I appreciate your concern. This is a placeholder. I will be working with my composer friend to create an original soundtrack.

wow man, all i can say is " COLORS!!! "

so vibrant and beautiful. if only i had areas around me that showed the sunrise and sunset. unfortunately all the lakes and river nears my house face north or south....

man i loved how you had the lake shot of the water then panning up to your son walking on the dock whew moving....i was wondering about the bison in Washington? but then we have bison in San Diego! but now that you explained it.....

Thanks... I think that dude on the dock was about my age :) He was just some random guy...not my son....my son is the little guy kicking the leaves.
