Black Water Rising...HVX/p+s Technik

i still own the DVX, but rented the HVX...i sitll havent had much time to play with it in depth yet.
 
Noah, are you colloborating with other ppl more these days? It seemed like your early work was done solely by yourself. If so, is it because your producing more in depth projects?
 
Brenan- Yeah i'm trying to expand and not take on multiple roles, so i can focus more on the creative side more, as well as soley directing. So i'd rather hire some one to man a camera that knows multiple formats, so if a budget permits, we'd be able to shoot, HVX, Varicam, 16mm or 35mm.

The stills were shot with an SLR by the DP. I will get stills up soon, but i have to start editing the video first ;)
 
Nice work there Noah. I love all the grungy video stuff and the washed out colours of the car scenes. I checked out a couple of your other vids too - particularly like The High Class Elite - you seem to bee something of a master at getting the most out of one set. Cool.
Also, thanks for turning me on to TheHCE.. i like em so much, i just bought the EP. perhaps you should get a cut of that ;)

BTW, LOVE your website. really cool...
 
Im trying to put together an hourlong music video show that is comprised of just hvx music videos - kind of like headbangers ball but for video dorks. Any interest in including this video?
 
that was f#$&king great man! little details like keeping leaves falling throughout made the set really kinetic. i'd also be interested in your technique for shaking the image without using some kind of gateweave filter. and may i ask where the orangish film burns come from? i've got the new magic bullet looks but haven't come across anything like that yet.

just putting together an indie music video show - probably throw it up on public access and send dvds of it to all involved. if people want i could even put a streaming version of it up.

I'll take whatever HVX video you got! Your stuff is good.

Anyone else interested? PLease send them along ----- include director and DP credits so I can identify them in the show
