Hi everyone,

I've posted a teaser trailer for a new short film called "Paradise 7" that I shot using the DVX100B. I'd greatly appreciate any and all feedback. I plan to put the full film (11 minutes) up for download sometime soon.

You can download a high-res version of the trailer here (right click and save to your computer - it's 28.8 MB):

Or you can watch a streaming version here:

Stills from the movie are also available here:

Again, feedback would be really appreciated.

Thanks so much,

Looks like you used an adapter as well.... If you can tell how you CC'd, and if you used an adapter, what was it? Thanks, and it looks great!

Thanks for the nice comments everyone. I did not use an adapter. As for the color correction, I did everything in Final Cut. I just messed a lot with the 3 point color corrector and the image controls until I got the various parts to look how I wanted. I had to put a lot of work into the field scenes to get that unique look for it since the original footage was very sunny and bright. I also used (and heavily modified) a Magic Bullet filter to give the convenience store stuff a very gritty look.

I'll be sure to post the full version of the film soon. The full version is 11 minutes. I hope you guys will check that out and comment on it as well.

Thanks!
Ashish

I didn't shoot in squeeze, I just shot in Letterbox. As for the music, it's part of an original score that the lead actor (Sareen Patel) put together.

I'll try to put up some before cc and after cc stills soon.
