I am starting a thread for the film I am working on. I am the DP on our film, Chocolat Noir. We are shooting on 16mm and digital for 2 driving scenes. It should be pretty awesome. I'll be updating this thread with new photos, lighting setups and other great b.s.

Anyway. Here is our film synopsis:
Alex Ashcroft, a subpar employee of a well-known confectionary company is fired from his job. On his way out of the office, he catches wind that some shipments are being reported as being delivered with insufficient content. Desperate to get back into the good-graces of the company and ultimately regain his job, Alex investigates the matter, delving into the dark world of the chocolate industry.

So the first day if finished. Things went pretty good. If you ever go location scouting, don't pick an apartment in the middle of a complex, on the the second floor...

Attached are some pictures I took with my DSLR onset. The setting in my camera are set to the same as what we are shooting with the Eclair NPR. I used it for exposure/lighing/color temp reference.

We were limited on things during this shoot, like spending $200 on 2 rolls of CTO gel. So we had to block out most the natural light. I used one openface 2k, and 2 650's. We were running a dolly track, which can be seen in some of the cell phone pics.

The shot is 3:00pm daylight, (even though we started around 8am)

There is also a grab from a car scene I shot with the dvx for the film.

That's all for now!

Looks sweet man, how long's the shoot? How long is the film going to bee and what's the ratio within the film of 16MM and digital?

The film is 8-9 min, were shooting over 2 weekends, sat sun, sat sun. We are shooting mostly all film (500T), with to 2 driving scenes shot on digital.

So far so good. We just finished the second day today. I didn't have time to get many set shots today, but I know a few other people did, so they will be up shortly!
