Hey Panasonic, what are you waiting for?

Is the flip available NOW? I was waiting so long that I bought a Letus two days ago. I don't mean to bash you Dennis, but I would have bought the Brevis in a second if it had a flip. It's clearly the best adapter IMHO. But I really need flip.

Its not available yet. They have pics of a working prototype on the cinevate forums, but Dennis has informed us the ergonomics will change. Currently, it resembles the m2!

Hopefully out soon...
 
The EX is not an MXF device. And Sony made their own version of MXF anyway; their XDCAM system uses a proprietary version of MXF already. So even if the EX1 did support MXF, you can bet it'd be their own version, not compatible with any other.

Besides, the EX doesn't support any type of standard-def recording.
 
Does Panasonic actually have a "suggestion box" email address? How do they know we are asking for a flip function on the lcd as well as on the CCD?...I'd be more than happy to go through the proper channels instead of complaining about it on those boards :) Or do we have to PM Jan?
 
I guess with editors handling up-down conversion now days it's not as big of a deal, but I LOVE the fact that the HVX can handle DVCPro 50 as well as mini-DV.
It's nice to use the same familiar camera for most all your jobs. I'm getting close to retireing my Beta Cam while I can still get a few bucks for it.
