nice job on this. what was the budget? I thought towards the middle-end of the song, the cuts would start getting faster and faster, to also mimic the woman's life flashing before her eyes, per say. I also thought there wasn't enough variety of band shots, and would have been cool if you some how tied the band's location more into the story some how. Like why is the band playing in a hospital, take on that perspective. Just some thoughts. Nice actors too!

Inspire84,

Thank you for your comments. The budget on this video was pretty low under 10k. As far as the bands performance location, the band is playing in the emergency/trauma room the same room that the woman is fighting for her life in, the same room that her husband watches her die in. I'm not quite sure what you mean by tying the bands location into the story more because almost the whole video takes place at the hospital and thats where the band is playing.

Thank you for taking the time to view this video.

Nice shoot!
I agree with the guys above, it looks really cool - but a little more variety from the band would have been welcome, but KUDOS for featuring the drummer a reasonable amout - they often get left out. poor sausages!

One thing I didn't really like, was the fact that she woke up after being pronounced. I presume one or the other was supposed to suggest the main characters inner thoughts / worst fears, but I'd rather it had stayed with her dead. No no - not because I'm evil or anything, but because I presume the main guy had been cheating or something (he puts his ring back on) - and it's a kind of moral tale that way. Plus, i was fighting off a tear or two as she died, because I'd really connected with the characters and story BECAUSE you had told it well.

All in - nice vid.
(shame about the song ;) )

I thought the video was very well done. I also would have liked to see the performance footage have a bit more camera movement or some different shot selections. It was a bit more subdued than the rest of the story footage, so to me that made it a little bit disjointed. Not bad by any means, just a minor quibble.

I saw the doctors as being sort of like you and your video team, and the lady being sort of like the song -- you were trying to revive the song, but ultimately it was not possible. The only way I would listen to that song is while watching your video, which is to say you did a good job trying to bring it to life. But the actual song is not catchy, the message is... blah... and the band not really overwhelming by any means. There's nothing you can do about that, except try to make it as good as possible, and I believe you succeeded!

I stand corrected...
That's the last time I watch and post early in the morning without coffee!!

;)

Good concept, I actually liked the music (I'm super picky), actors, locations and production values were all great.

I thought it looked soft, and wasn't a fan of the lighting and camera angles. But like I said I'm picky.

For under $10k that's a stellar job! Nice!
