Music Video - 720/30pn - play song & lip sync DOUBLE speed, but record 60p??

So if I record 720/30pn... but capture 60fps... and then speed a song up by 200% and have the singers perform it twice as fast, when I play it back it should all - in theory - match.

However, I am wondering - has anyone done this? Are there any techniques to this? And does DROP-FRAME timecode play a role in this and throw things off by a frame every so often?

Please help with tips for this... THANKS!!

i did it for this music video:

shot 720/25pn @ 50fps (PAL land) but theory is the same

it's a very common technique actually, but i guess it'd be hard to pull off with a fast song

ps. this question seems to get asked a lot on this forum, and i'm tempted to say: why don't you go out and try it yourself! it's not really not that difficult! sorry if that sounds a bit rude but it seems like a lot of people ask stuff before experimenting! i say experiment first, ask questions later. maybe that should be my sig :)

It only works for 30/60. Or 24/60. Won't work just based on the math for any other combo, like 24/48 -- you can't just double the speed. I wrote a post here that examined the math for all the various frame rates, so if you want to do this type of thing, search around and you'll find all that you need to know for any of the HVX's frame rate options.
