I just can't make a decision to buy the p2 16gb card yet or just wait for a while.
The reason is every time when there was a upgrade from 4 to 8 and 16 gb
The price fall down from the older and smaller gb P2 cards.

I red somewhere on the forum here the 32 gb come out and start to sell in november .

I know the time will reduce all the prices of all memory cards but that's not what i mean
Is it worth to wait for a two or three months ??

Queue responses of: If you need it now than get it. Prices will always drop and something new will always appear.

If you shoot for a living, you´ll know what to expect incomewise and you´ll know when the cards are paid of and you just make more money.
The 16Gb are relatively cheap compared to when the 8Gb where brand new and for my needs 2 x 16Gb would be enough.
But if you´re eg doing dokumentarys or HD event coverage, having more capacity might be worth the wait for the 32s (though I doubt they will be cheap...)

Oh, and "what the others said"

A lot of users that quote the NEED IT GET IT MOTTO also depend on video for an income. How much do you use video and do you "really" need it? If it were me, I'd see what happens with the P2 cards over the Holiday season here, and if you only need more space for say one shoot or two shoots or something, budget out what it would cost to rent another P2 card.

It may pay off to wait and see what the 32gb cards do to prices and re-evaluate then. News as of October 1st says that "Panasonic has announced that its new 32 GB P2 memory card for camcorders will ship prior to Dec. 1, 2007."

It's up to you, your needs, your budget, etc.

Personally, if you don't need it now than I would wait to see what happens with the 32Gb cards. However, the 32Gb cards will likely be hard to get for some time.

For me, I am going to see if I can get two more 8Gb cards as that will set me up nicely.

Thanks for helpfull reply's I would explain few things more
- I don't need this card urgent but I want it.
- I 'm not interested on 32 gb only the 16 gb card
- It is not a making money issue only in mine new project I whant to shot in DVCpro this project that has to start shooting next year april approximately.
Before I begin to shoot whant to practise with DVCpro until yet I never work with P2 card only shoot in tape with mine HVX

well then you'll be shooting DV not DVCpro.. that's only possible with the P2. I'd also say that you can get the 4 gig cards now really cheap. My buddy picked them up for 250 a piece. I've been shooting with 2x 4 gigers for a year and I'm used to the swapping and workflow and then backing them up to DVD is a breeze. So you could probably get 3 or 4 of the 4 gig cards for one 16 gig card and there's something to the ability to shoot.. swap... offload and then continue shooting.

I personally think that the 32 gig will be great but man that will take atleast 20 minutes or more to offload for sure so that's something to consider as well.

DVCPRO25 = DV for general purposes

just WAIT one month and see what happens with the 32gb cards, they should push down the 16gb card prices. Don't buy a 4gb card now. You don't need this card right away, and you'll have plenty of time before april to use the p2 work flow. Buy a miniDV tape and shoot on that this month to learn and practice the camera. Then see what happens w/32gb and get a cheaper 16gb cards. It's right around the corner and you don't even need it anytime soon... it would be stupid to buy a P2 card right now in that case when there is literally a new card coming out within 30 days. Panasonic has also stated in the past that they won't exceed around $1800-ish for the top model P2 card, so this should push down the 16gb pricing, yes.
