Can someone tell me correct playback menu settings on dvx-100a

My computer does not see my DVX100 plugged in via firewire. I think it's due to some incorrect settings in the menu. Can someone tell me what they should be. Camera doesnt even say DV IN.

Setting such as
1394 TC REGEN
1394 UB REGEN
A. DUB INPUT
DV OUT
VIDEO OUT OSD


and any other functions while in either camera or VTR mode.

It can. I bought a crappy DV cam from Best Buy to capture and that shows up + captures fine (although I am worried about 24pA footage capturing correctly i need to make a thread about that). Id rather use the DVX and return this dv cam
 
hey guys i have the same problem. i can't view my edited videos using my broadcast monitor. i am using a macbook pro running FCP and connected to my dvx100b via firewire, i set it to dv out but still no luck. i tried my other camcorder which is the dvc30 (set to dv out too) but still can't preview my edited videos on FCP. i am editing in 24pA mode. do u think i am missing something here? please help and thanks in advance.:crybaby:
 
actually I tried mine in anouther computer and it worked fine. I must have brunt the firewire port on my computer at some point and need to get it replaced.
