Red Giant's Instant HD v1.0---Do I really need this for the DVX-100B? PLEASE HELP!!!

Would Red Giant's Instant HD v1.0 make a difference if I was using a DVX-100b with a standard DVD player & a 50" Plasma HD tv. I ask this because the raw footage of the dvx looks a little blurry on the 50". So would using Red Giant's Instant HD make the picture sharper? Or would it just be a waste of money?

One more question...Can I burn a Blu-Ray or HD DVD from my computer? Or do I have to buy some special HD burner?

To see the benefits of instant hd you would need the correct dvd authoring software and you would also need a bluray burner and player, however for hdvd im pretty sure you can burn like 25 minutes or so onto a standard dvd,but you would still need an hddvd player to view it. If you use redgiant to upconvert to an hdformat and then go back to standard def dvd there is really no point.
