premiere cs3 update availible!!!!! P2 now supported!

Why would you need Cineform if you can import mxf files and edit them directly?.

That's still my question. I assumed that cineforms codec allowed faster rendering and general performance improvements when working with HD.

Are you saying that the only thing cineform does is unwrap mxf files?

I don't use Cineform, but my guess is that it's functionality would be unaffected... as I understand it, using Cineform involves converting your files to Cineform AVI's and editing with those - this update shouldn't change a thing there.

but you will be able to edit mxf files without converting to Cineform files first if your system can handle it.

I have been trying to download this via NOT using the updater (maybe from a link or something since my production computer is NOT connected to the internet...and never will be)...been on the phone with 4 people @ Adobe this morning. They are all telling me that this update is not available and that they do not know when it will be.

Does anyone here have some concrete info as the morons @ Adobe do not have a clue?

Thanks

It should be up later this week or early next.

Please let me know when anyone get Premiere Pro 3.1 to work on a Vista 64-bit machine. Thanks :)

edit: I also wonder: is the native P2 support w/ flip function enabled (for 35mm footage) faster than Raylight with it's 180 degree function enabled? (your help is much appreciated :))

I would like a definitive answer to the following question, please.

Does Premiere CS3 (3.1) support capturing, editing and exporting in 1080i/25p @ 50Hz (PAL) directly from an HVX202's P2 card or an external HDD?

Thanks in advance.
