Want Video OSD Out On Marshall But Not On Firestore

Is it possible to get all the Video OSD information to display on my Marshall monitor but not get recorded onto my FireStore? My Marshall arrived today so I'm playing around with it and did a quick record and noticed that the video OSD data was recorded to the FireStore and burned into the video.

Update: I didn't have a tape in there (was recording 480i/24PA). So now with the tape in there the OSD stops on the Marshall when recording both to tape and FireStore and when captured in FCP the OSD info is now gone. Anyway to keep OSD info on the Marshall when recording to a Firestore?

I'd like to help but I'm out of town and away from the equipment. As I understand, any time you hit 'record' on the HVX when in tape mode, it turns off all OSD. But when in DV mode, if the OSD is on, it's on in the firewire too, right? So I don't know if you can do what you want...

Thanks for the response. I'm dissapointed by this. I wonder if Panasonic could release a firmware update changing this? Jan?
