Heres a documentary a couple of my friends and I are putting together. The video below is just 7 minutes long but the final version will be somewhere around 30 minutes with lots more interviews and waves. This was just shot over 3 days. Currently we are trying to get as many sponsers for the video as possible to help get our name out there and get some $ to rent the equiptment.

Hi Jon, I found the 7-min version to be excellent. Very instructive and very good pacing. Nice lighting on Greg in the shop, nice introductory shot of the skim boards.

I think there are a few takes in which the whites of the surf are a bit blown out, I wonder if that could be corrected in post?

Also, although I know you're still working on it, maybe you could consider lowering the soundtrack (or removing it entirely) during Greg's 2nd, 3rd interviews (the soundtrack is cool but a bit loud making it difficult to understand what he's saying).

For now, that's my 2 cents, but you're heading in a great direction with this doc!
Cheers, Martin

Thanks a lot for the feedback everyone.

I am using the redrock m2 nikon mount adapter

For this mini-doc we used a 50mm 1.4, a 28mm 2.8 and a 135mm 2.8

Juicy!
Some of the colors with the adapter and the surf were really nice.
Very nicely shot and cut together.
Good luck with it.

I have to agree this looks and feels amazing the pace and style work really well with the footage would love to see the full finished piece.

if someone can quickly tell me how to post photos I will post a few production stills up.

thanks for all the comments...keep em commin!

you have to post them to the internet first. Then click the mountain looking picture and paste the URL into there. Flickr works best or your FTP for your site.

Really liked the content, and your composition is very, very good. The whole fits together great. Definitely sucked me in, hope to see the final product.

you post a photo on flikr.com and then get the url to the image and put it in between these: [ img ] [ /img ] but take out the spaces next to the brackets.

okay i posted them on flickr but i cant find the [ img ] [ /img ] part...sorry i feel like an idiot

Wonderful Idea. I loved it. I was glued to the entire piece. I was a little disappointed about not showing the kick-flip. Haha! Really Well Done.

I'm posting these pictures on behalf of Wunderkind. Enjoy!
