Handle Zoom Not Working!

I owe a brand new HVX200E for 2 weeks and yesterdday I noticed for the first time, that the HANDLE ZOOM is not working as it should. HANDLE ZOOM allows to have constant zooming speed at 3 different levels. MY hvx200e is working properly with speed 1 and 3, but when it comes to speed 2 it is just dead - not zooming at all. Does anyone had this problem and does anyone know what could be the reason? Is it something that I could fix in the settings or should I rather return the camera and ask for a new one, or repair, since I bought it from an authorized dealer and the cam is still in warranty.

It's a user programmable choice. I forget exactly which menu it's in, but it's in there. I'm not where I can check for you right now, but I'm sure someone who can will help you out here soon. Don't worry...there's nothing wrong with your camera.
 
Just check your manual mate. There's a setting in their where zoom speed 2 does nothing. I believe there's 3 different setting for the handle zoom. Sorry don't have my cam here so can't tell you exactly where to look, probably 'camera setup' I'd say.

Done, problem solved....I am enjoying my hvx200 full time...sucha great piece of equipment....and Barry I also enjoyed your bootcamp dvd's....
