P2 CRISIS- Didn't copy the LASTCLIP.TXT file. Am I screwed?

I've been shooting on the HVX200 for a few weeks and have been copying the P2 contents onto an external harddrive. I just returned from the field to do some editing and realized that I never copied any of the LASTCLIP.TXT files. I only have the CONTENTS folders copied!
It looks like all the clips are there, but I cannot open any of them in FCP 6. It keeps giving me a message that reads like this:
"CLIP"has unvalid directory structure. Please choose a folder whose directory structure matches the supported media."
I have over 8 hours of footage copied like this! I am worried that I will not be able to access the footage. Is there any way to re-write the directory structure or re-format the CLIPS w/o the LASTCLIP.TXT file? What are my options?
I am having a mini-panic attack. Please help!

No, the LASTCLIP.TXT file is only used by the camera. It is no longer used by FCP and most other P2-aware applications. As long as you didn't rename anything and kept all of the folders and files underneath the CONTENTS folder, you should have no problems.

Did you possibly rename CONTENTS to something like CARD1, CARD2 etc?

Put them in individual folders if you want, but rename them back to CONTENTS. That's what the NLE's will look for when importing p2 clips.

TIP for the future:

Get hold of P2 Genie for copying , transfering P2 to HDs.

Its functional, easy and convenient and avoids little slips ups like this.

tip for the future
when you shoot, make a series of numbered folders 001, 002, 003, 010, 011, 020, etc (so they stay ordered) and then drag an entire cards contents and last clip into its own folder as you offload.

If you use 8 gig cards then 15 card offloads (folders) will be about 100gigs total
That way if you ever screw anything up you can just copy that cards data back to P2 card. Your NLE will read the files inside the video folder and P2viewer will recognize each numbered folder as a P2 card.

be careful with p2 Genie!!!

It has bitten me in the past! Always double check that it has copies all of your files, somethimes it doesn't.

Download the free P2 manager software P2CMS at panasonics site. It verifies the footage as well as makes and labels folders for you. Free for mac and pc.
