Yesterday we shot an 8 hour job with our new 500's. All I can say is, wow!
I just spent the last couple of hours reviewing the footage and I am so pumped to show the client that I can hardly wait.
I am still figuring out my workflow (especially with the longer shoots), but I am getting better and feeling more confident with each job.
We used 2-500's on a corporate gig. As cards filled up, I was dumping the full cards to an HDD via P2CMS through a laptop.
I am still learning my way around P2CMS, but I think it's going to work out for us really well (although the app could use way better doc's).
I monitored both cameras using laptops running Adobe OnLocation. This application holds a lot of potential for P2 shooters. If Adobe will incorporate the P2 structure into OL, we will use it almost exclusively for jobs like the one we just completed.
I'll continue to report back as things unfold.
