Ok, I'm not sure where to post this, but I been talking to a 3rd party invester with Absolut Vodka for the last 3 months. We came to conculesion, and they said that we need to start kicking around a buzz for our commercial. The challenge is if we get around ONE million hits, they will air it for christmas weekend. Here's the commercial:

Let me knwo what you think. Also, maybe let me know some good internet marketing ideas to get these hits.

I been searching on google for some good ABsolut Vodka Messaging Boards and blogs, but I haven't come across any good ones. If you guys can help me out or guide me in the right direction, that would be great. Thanks.

Also, we shot our commercial with a HVX (using P2 cards, dump drive), using Final Cut Pro, then into After Effects (color corretion), with a touch of Magic Bullet. The 3D work is at the end of the commercial which was done with my Special Effects Team. More information here:

so, what country are you in? those ads are illegal in the U.S.

Not anymore they aren't. Actually, they were never illegal. Networks just agreed not to run liquor ads. They've since changed their minds to boost revenue. I see liquor commercials on TV all the time.

lol they get a million views on something they spent no $ on? Then they get people to buy it from your ad. And make a profit on something they didn't spend a dime on! they should air it anyway.

You'll notice that there are tons of commercials and advertisements for hard liquor... but you should also notice that nobody is ever shown CONSUMING it.

Oh they get close... oh yes... they get close... you may even see a drop about to fall off an ice-cube and into a girl's mouth... but watch again and you'll see that it never actually happens.

You can show a party full of people CARRYING drinks around... but oddly nobody ever takes a drink in front of the camera ;-)

Now I don't want to offer any negative criticisms... but you said, "let me know what you think"... so in my HUMBLE opinion... I'd show the product leaving the bottle... or somehow have that stream indicated as coming from the bottle. Perhaps a bartender pouring the drink. Toward the end of the commercial the stream almost has a certain quality that would make me reluctant to put that glass to my lips if I couldn't see what was at the top of that stream.

Overall I think it's excellent however.

Very dull ad. Also those glasses you use look cheap and are noticeably scuffed. I would also have some more closeups with desirous expressions.
