New HVX + Letus35FE Footage

the interlacing comes from a video transition.... ugh! horrible... Despite the footage is progressive, transitions in FCP are interlaced. What could i do to deinterlace them without losing resolution?

.

Maybe because i'm editing the 1080i (but is progressive) on a DVCPRO HD 1080 timeline, so the only progressive thing is the footage, but titles and transitions are interlaced.

You had some specks on your footage in a couple of shots(the reporter and cameraman ones). Oh i felt that the first shot's dof was waaay too shallow...but other than that it looks great!

Looks great al in all, but agree with Malcom on the first shot´s DoF...

DOF is a term not an amount. I think the first shot was too shallow because when reporters are talking into the camera, they're usually talking about what's going on behind them (they're at the scene) but in that shot you can't see anything behind the guy. And that interlacing is really really distracting. Composition and editing are very nice though. It has a good rhythm to it.
