Grabs From new Short

I am working on developing a look for some of the clips. I want the look to read as memory, and imperfect memory at that. I like how they did some of that stuff in "Eternal Sunshine" when he is running through his childhood. So I was going for something along the lines of a very old cheap home movie camera.

Anyone have thoughts on this look with that in mind? Any suggestions? I did this with a combinations of effects in Vegas. But I also have AE, if anything has suggestions that involve that.
