I'm sorry Jack, you will probably hate me. I have decided to change the title since this one was used before. Dissonance is now officially changed to:

Fissure of Naïveté

Thanks so much if you can change this. Sorry about my indecisiveness, but I heard the title was used more than once before.

Greetings! My first post, please be gentle... I've decided to enter the Hallows Fest. Shot some footage over the weekend, so there's no going back now! I would like to create a poster and banner for the fest, but could not find any threads in my search re. size of artwork, how to upload, etc... I am new to all of this, so I apologize in advance for all the stupid questions I will invariably be asking=).

BTW, my film is called, "The Farmer".

you're banner should be no bigger than 569x70 i believe.
you can upload jpegs and stuff to dvxuser's own server by using the "media upload center" link in the top center of the page. Each user gets 10 mb. To change your signature (where people put banners), go to "user CP" (top left) and click on "edit siganture"

Thank you for your quick response. One of the reasons I've finally entered a dvxuser fest, is to force myself to learn various softwares, and tech stuff that I've wanted to learn for ages, but put off learning for various reasons (too busy, too tired, too lazy...) This fest is the kick in the pants I needed! I'm struggling with Photoshop at the moment, but enjoying the challenge. When it is time to upload, I will probably take you up on your kind offer of assistance.
 
Yeah. 569x70 is the max size. There is a sticky in the Cafe about banner sizes and such. Hybrid made me a rockin' poster :) It'll probably be the best part of my entry :)

Hey, that's what we're here for! I to find it fun to experiment with new technologies for each passing fest. I'm exploring the fun yet painstaking task of making animated gifs for this one.

lol, jason, i hope not. looking forward to seeing more of yours, now that it looks like it's in the can and ready to edit.
 
Almost in the can. I've got 4 shots I still need to get. All will be easy to get though, and not require much time as they are just static shots. One will require some props that I don't have yet though.

Looks like most of my time will be spent in post and with sound editing.
