Caldera - a story of revolution

Lookin good. I didn't even know this had it's own thread here.

If ya don't mind me asking: How much was your budget?

Haha, you found the thread... good job!

Because I am a lazy producer, and accountable to no one but myself, I actually can't tell you what the budget is, because I haven't added it all up. But, not counting anything for duplications, festival fees, etc, I can safely say it's somewhere between $7-9,000.

the very last guy u show, with nice close up, looks like the guy from we need girlfriends inline indie series

those shots are UNREAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i wanna see this!!!

i live in san diego, and u got me fooled from the stills thinking this was somewhere in a latin based country..... i hope u gonna put it on the web, i really wanna see this!

Thanks guys. Unfortunately I ran into a few personal financial setbacks, so I haven't been able to finish this film yet! But trust me, I'm still working on it! I've been writing the feature-length(+) version of it, if nothing else.

This thread has guilted me into getting back to work on whatever aspects I can on the movie, so in the last week I've put in all the subtitles, done some motion tracking, and begun prep for the sound recording sessions and music that we'll need soon.

Of course, the film still won't be finished until I find some money to shoot the remaining days with, but all progress is good!

Do you still have "Days" of shooting left? It seems like you have gotten most of it in the can, with a make-up scene. Has it gone longer than the scheduled 8 minutes now?

Don't give up on it now! I really want to see this thing finished.

Oh, don't worry, I certainly haven't given up on it! I continue to work on it piece by piece. But to answer your question, yes, it's gone a bit over 8 minutes now, closer to 12. There's probably a day of re-shooting scenes and a day of pickups.

Thanks for your support, everyone... it's a huge factor in keeping enthusiasm up, of course!

I love the BTS photos. The production looked really fun and the locations were beautiful. I can't wait to see the finished product.

Yessir, it is. The whole thing was shot on an HVX/M2 combo.

Hopefully I'll have something major to release from the film in the next week or two.

Major...? As in a teaser/trailer!??! Keep up the good work! Looking forward to seeing something!

I started work on a film for the DVXUser Drama Fest over a year ago. It too got "out of control" and is now a 45-minute short that we will be submitting to AFI Dallas next week...over a year in the making!

So stick with it and don't give up (or get lazy like me). :-D
