This is a screen test for a movie that is going to be produced by Creature Productions, dealing with the Eye of God. Its not a short film but a rehersal of a scene, shot with no budget on the DVX100b.

Directed by Drl Ahye
Starring Andrew Vingo

Hopefully the final piece will be shot with an Andromeda DVX (which I really want to check out) or the HVX.

I'm down for feedback so hit me up.

that was pretty good... i didn't like the phone call shoot, but i understand it is a screen test, it was good tho... i like the idea...

actually it looks like he rendered it that way because the actor and screen seemed to be framed right... it's pretty cool if u ask me...

I don't know... don't use it... It'd be kinda nifty if they converted that to .flv and made it a banner ad...

Firstly I shot in Squeeze mode, then I did the widescreen in FCP and offset the video to keep it framed. Then I imported the video into After Effects and made the composition 720x240 to eliminate the letterbox. So it's half the vertical size that it should be.

I think you could probably do it all in FCP but I did the color correction and text in AE so I exported it from there.

That gives me a cool idea....I wonder if anyone has shot a movie vertically in that aspect ratio...I would love to try that heh.
