Meeting Leonardo Dicaprio and Russell Crowe.

And didn't Moe Szyslak beat one of them to death cos they stole his bit?

Don't tell then you're an "aspiring" filmmaker. If you're not actively making shorts (even very low / no budget shorts), at least tell them you're in film school or something...

Honestly, If it just is you, your friend, Russel Crowe and Leonardo DiCaprio. I would chill. Most likely if they like you they'll give you their card or something and tell you they want to hang out or get you sh*t faced you know. Just be cool. Tell them the truth. If it's more people than that. I wouldn't even talk at all. Chances are people will be in their face the whole time and you'll probably stand out for not saying anything. Then when it gets quiet. They'll talk to you.

Riiiiight.

Piece of cake. You've got the best script in the world, and since both Leo and Russ play a mean... erm..."instrument", you could tell 'em you'll write a small part for a busker and the two of them can duke it out for the role. My money's on Russ.

As we can see, imagination is very important to a writer. Oh boy.

Again with the best script in the world f#ck man let it go!!

You guys are right I thought all the little rascals are dead. And it will be just me the OLD man with the type his assistant and Leo and Russel for all I know maybe it's all BS because I really thought they were all dead. Maybe it's the remake.

OR Maybe the assistant guy with the yellow bow tie (he's alwasy wearing a yellow bow tie and suit is that weird I mean always I've never seen him without it) is trying to lure me into his apartment to cut me up into pieces and keep my head in fridge so he he can make slushy out of my brain once it's frozen. Is my chance to become a filmmaker worth risking my life? Yes yes it is. wish me luck guys if I dont write back within 3 weeks I live at 5375 duke st # 1209 alexandria, VA. And tell the police to check the refrigerator in the apartment across the hall.

Dude, nevermind all that...

Which one of The Little Rascals was he? Spanky? Porky? Buckwheat? Alfalfa was shot to death, so that rules him out..

No, really. Which one?

By the way I'm in the DC area too. And the best way to get someone to notice how fancy you are is by sticking you pinky finger in the air when ever you make a jesture.

All the fancy people doit.:cheesy:

he's black actually I don't know which one he is.

Well that narrows it down pretty much, lol.

I'll try the Pinky thing, And I will wear one of those one eye glass things that come sout my pocket, you know the one you hold with your eyebrow pressed down.

I'm pretty sure they told me but i completly forgot everything we wre talking about once he mentioned introducing me to Leo and Russell, I would ask but then I dont want to seem like the rude guy who's only trying to use them.

A monocle, Excellent!!

Mushtach is good, But with Crow being an Ozzy, I don't know how that would go over. If your accent is bad he might think your making fun of him, and all hell might break loose.

When they're sitting down and ready to perform, pull out your cowbell and ask if you can jam with them.

Then maybe Christopher walken will come in and say " I need more Cow Bell, we gotta have more Cow Bell" That would be awsome.

Just treat them like regular people. That what they are. They put their pants on the same way you do. Don't be star struck.

That's almost impossible. None of us act normal around stars, which is why stars get so insane, I think. I can only imagine what it would feel like to have every single person you ever meet (a) want something from you but pretend they don't until the time is right, (b) want something from you and come right out and say it before they've even caught a breath.

I'm not sure why the assistant would ever think that Leo and Russell want to have you inflicted upon them. Because that's what we become around them--an affliction. I doubt the assistant will be able to get you to them like this, except for a quick handshake.

Unfortunately, they don't want to read your script. They won't read it. They'll insist you send it through to their agent, and you'll never hear from them again. They have to say this. They should say this.

Only exception to the rule is when a very good friend of theirs vouches for your brilliance and talent, and then they still get you to send the script to their agent.

When is the last time you have heard of a star making a movie because a stranger handed them a script (I'd love to hear the story if it's happened--because it would be a rare one and a good one). I'm not trying to be a downer. I'm trying to save you some heartache and discomfort. Good scripts and good writers go through the normal channels 99.9999% of the time.

After meeting dozens of famous people, I've concluded I don't really wanna meet anyone who doesn't want to meet me just as much in return. ;-) That sort of rules out stars, until I have the budget to pay their asking price.

I wasnt going to hand them my script, there's no parts for them and I'm sure they have Acadamy award choice writers who they can pick from why would they even read my crappy script, wich I think is amazing. What I realisticly wanted was maybe a "hey let me see if they need anymore PA's down on the set"

I'm realistic I'm not stupid I wont hand them a script with more Gramatical errors then a monkey typing on a computer would have.

All I want is to get somewhere better then where I'm at right now anything on a set, even a on a crappy straight to DVD movie like one of those titled Zombie Ninjas from the Hood III. I Just wanna get somewher closer then where I am right now.

I have the same beliefs as sean90291. For some reason I have never tried to go out of my way to talk to a famous person and surprisingly I have had run ins with a fair few of them. I figure if we end up talking I'd rather it be mutual than me pushing it. Maybe this approach hurts me from a networking standpoint but personally it just feels better to me.

As for meeting Russel Crow and DiCaprio, I would just enjoy the party and the music (assuming its good). If you end up talking just treat it like any other conversation.

try being the one who doesn't want something from them other than good company. bet they'd appreciate it.
