Some time ago, there was a computer monitor from that movie up for grabs.

And there is my movie sword hanging behind my desk-

Wow. An original?

Wales + Israel?
Huh? As far as I know, yes it is original. But then, have you ever tried to get something certified? I've seen pictures of an exact duplicate in a picture from a Ben Hur display, and that's good enough for me.

Well...for my part, I don't get stuff certified; I know it's genuine 'cause I stole it off set, myself...

...although I missed Ben Hur by quite a few years. Doesn't matter if it's a nice piece.

I'd never seen the movie, until after I bought the sword. I bought it because it was listed as Ben Hur's sword, which I thought meant it was the sword Ben Hur used. After watching the whole 3 1/2 hours or so, I learned that Ben Hur never used a sword in the movie. He used a knife, a javeline even, but no sword. D'OH!

The paddle? Dude, that's a cricket bat! I will come to your defense though, no-one likes cricket .

Yeah, here in America, the only type of 'cricket' we know is the annoying damn bug.. I know it's pretty big in Australia, but I tried to watch it once, and it looks like a mix between, Bowling, Tennis, and Baseball..

Aside from any unplanned mishaps, televised fishing has to be the number 1 dullest sports show.

This could be it's own thread- what is the dullest sports show today?

Back to movie props...

One that I was reminded of in another thread is a certain peice of amber:
