I've been dumpster diving to try to fix the garbage situation in our huge condo building for the last two weeks, all because of a union strike that is happening in a DIFFERENT community. yesterday I was fed up and my wife actually thought it was so funny she made a piece about it for her website

so, if you want to know what a rabid norwegian in exile in canada sounds like look no further.

please excuse the outfit. I need protection from the putrid waste.

Man, this strike has gone on long enough. I live downtown so I really don't notice it much but other parts like DTES are just swimming in it. Its disgusting.

And they shutdown the pitch and putt in the park.

I Agree, didn't Burnaby cicil workers sort out there contracts in the end of July?
 
It's insane. CUPE is blocking the garbage transfer stations so Waste Management can't drop off the garbage from the other municipalities. the mountain you see in the video is about half of what was there a week ago. I was literally walking on top of a mountain of trash trying to get access to the containers so WM could take them out. I hope someone from CUPE sees the video and realizes that what they are doing is just plain wrong. I'm the strata president so people are blaming me for this mess. funfunfun

One of the country clubs in Vancouver were allowing their members to drop off their garbage cos they had access to dispose of it, CUPE got onto it and within a day had people pickiting in front of the club blocking peoples ways.

I'm just glad that they transit workers didn't align with the CUPE otherwise **** would be going down right now.
 
Those people need to shred their bills. I can see what looks like a phone bill in one of those piles... can anyone say identity theft?

You have to bribe someone... don't know who it is, but it's not cheap...
