Tryed out the 50mm lens a bit more. Al shots are in f4 and 25P, detail is set to -4,
and I must say it looks better than the +4... The tripod that was used is only a Spiderbrace. Have fun!

Time: 1.38min
Size: 96mb
Music: Joy Division - Twenty four hour

Any thoughts on how to make it better?
Since there is a lost of pics without accurate focus, many just works as out of focus depth. Hard to skate and focus at the same time...
And I haven't had enough skatepractis this summer :(

Well I think this was pretty nice actually.. or the footage was nice to say it more correctly.. I think the editing and music could be better maybe..

But I just gotta say.. I love the look of 25p.. Is it me or does 25p look better than 24p?
anyone?

Nice looking images. The last shot has a Gus Van Sant'ish feel to it :)
And I agree Tommetass, I prefer the 25p look over the 24p, it just moves nicer.

When the M2 has light it doesn't look half bad. I love the first shot and how the whole time I was thinking, "He's gonna run into his camera isn't he," and sure enough...

Thanks everyone,

well the shot with the crash was scary, only a bit higher and the 50mm could say goodbye. And according M2 versus other adapters (SGpro etc). I also am a fan of SGpro, but when I bought this M2 at a good secondhand price, I thought that there must be a way to get the M2 work out. And yet too far I feel like I need some better optics. The 50mm isn't bad, but a 35 / 50mm Zeiss would be great.

Well Newt time maybe a kickflipp!

Hey Odell, how do you find the dvx/m2 combo with the Spiderbrace?

Thinking of getting one myself, but I'm not sure how the brace will handle said combo, rods and all.

Hi ray,

I like the spiderbrace a lot with the DVX itself, and I use Sb2 not 1 which maybe is better. But the only problem I am trying to fix is that the rig gets pretty front heavy. I mean changing the indifocus makes you quite tired after an hour filming. So that’s the only problem I can think of.

You can see this build.

He has managed to get the DVX over the shoulder which seems much better and easier.

So what I am trying to say is that I can't say that the spiderbrace is optimal for this solution...
It would be if you could get it over your shulder...

I know that 24p is Ntsc, and 25p is PAL, but it still looks different, and Pal does get one more frame in there per second :) And proggresive pal people shooting
25p doesnt have to go through any kind of pulldown process if that should make a difference.
