SGpro rev. 3 lake test footage

I grabbed these shots about an hour before sundown a couple days ago. A few more bumps than I would like, but it was run-and-gun with the Spiderbrace and not a lot of time before the light was gone. I do yearn for a tripod that will securely hold my DVX and SGpro - if anyone has suggestions, please share. Something budget-minded preferably, but I know good tripods are not cheap.

I sure like the way that the SG Pro looks. Great sharpness and colors. Nice area that you shot this at too. Congrats on the purchase.

footage looks pretty sharp and clean. What frame rate and lens were you using?

Nothing too fancy, just 24pa and a 50mm Nikon f/1.4 (my only real lens at the moment, which will be changing in a few days). I did take someone's suggestion in another thread to alter my scene file to +4 detail, previously I was shooting with -4 and while I still liked the results, these do 'pop' a little more without looking overly sharpened.

Congrats on the sgpro, love the colors!
I have the sgpro as well, and the reason I shoot with detail -4, which is good to keep in mind, is that the footage often look sharper when played back on a TV set than it does on the computer. But then again, it's a matter of taste :)
One thing is for sure, no one can tell you that you have soft footage ;)

Haha no suggestions on a tripod... maybe cause everybody's blown away by your footage. That was amazingly good... to my eyes!

They probably are blown away :) I'll back up the tripod recommendation request, I need one as well. I Tried to mount the dvx/sgpro rig on my fathers binocular tripod , it was like putting a car on skateboard wheels.

Haha:P
I feel that when you're in a tight economical status you get more creative with ideas on what and how to do things.. :P that's the only positive side I see with being poor.. lol

"Poor" as in; I-can't-buy-me-a-tripod-because-I-just-bought-a-freakin-camera-for-crying-out-loud!

Anyways.. the footage looked great:) Love the sgpro look.. You should add some music to it though.. it makes people like the footage even more.. seriously.. it does:thumbsup:

good work.. and keep posting sgpro footage.. we all wanna see it!
