hello everyone, just excited i took the dive and bought the 702T, it will be happy with the SD 302

does anyone have suggestions, experiences, warnings etc. about this machine...........also the good things

thanks

Congrats on an excellent recorder. Only suggestions I can think of is getting two 2gig CF at NewEgg. They have the best prices in general and two 2gigs works better then one 4gig because you can offload one card for burning while filling up the other one.

Secondly, you can get 5600mA spare batteries at pretty much any camcorder store for around $30. What a bargin!

Enjoy

buy cards as big as possible since it is your prime media
2 16 gb at new egg are less then 260usd
batteries - you have 7 amp at b&h ,
the 30 usd battery usially total fake on capacity .
if you reaaly need big one like that i can send it from here - it will keep your recorder for 10 hours

bag - you need something normal to work with
you can go with unbalance out from 302 to xlrs in line level , thaqt would leave your mixer outs free to send to the camera

hmm, i' m thinking about the red one but is focusing on the sound part,

are you saying the sound recorder is not needed?

I just got the SD 722, awesome piece of gear. I have spent the last two days just going trorough all the possible settings (most of which I do not need at the moment). Sweet sounds, beautiful, solid machine...

Would the 702 (without a 302) be a good fit for a camera like the HV20? I am mainly going to be shooting shorts and documentaries.
