I'm calling out all Hollywood directors with the exception of Quentin Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez. WHY? I don't like them per se, I respect them. I respect them because they are making movies on their own terms and refuse to be exploited by Hollywood.

I respect QT because he's the ONLY filmmaker ALIVE whose screenplay doesn't get rewritten if sold on spec. I respect RR for what he did for Mexico with the Mariachi Trilogy and the WORLD will respect me for I'm about to do for AFRICA.

The likes of Michael Bay, Brett Ratner, Paul Greengrass, Tony and Ridley Scott, etc all hide behind their $100 million budgets, crews, fancy cameras, visual and special effects to deliver when I'm delivering on DVX100B, hand-held, no crew and making it look like a damn movie.

The movie business is about selling tickets and putting behinds on seats and I'm in this business to sell tickets and put behinds on seats.

Give me resources and a $10 million budget and I'll give you an action film that's guaranteed to quadruple it's budget or I'll board a plane back to Nigeria where i came from and never pick up a camera again, EVER!

eh well executed but i really though i was going to watch something spectacular, but was pretty dissapointed. Didnt really see anything creative or that sold the car, just some cliche driving on the desert and some hot chick. All well executed though. Anyways here you go www.orbitz.com.

ditto on that. you definitely overhyped your video dude lol.

i say your head needs to shrink some, and allow you to explore things you might not be comfortable with to expand your horizons.

;)

I just can't believe that 'Brett Ratner' and 'Paul Greengrass' were used in the same comparisson. Wow.
Yeah - the video was not bad. It didn't knock my socks off, but it was solidly produced I suppose.
The shot of the 'nitro' on the back of the car cut into the middle of the driving footage really stuck out to me.
And the graphics were kind of weak - but that's not what you were trying to show off...

Not bad - but next time don't build it up like that.
There was no way you were going to impress anyone after that build up.

"Under promise and over deliver."

Oh - and Tarantinos scripts have been rewritten after sold.
Just ask Tony Scott and Oliver Stone.

Nobody can make that kind of guarantee. Even Michael Bay had a flop in The Island.

Paul Greengrass aint no chump, my friend. Check out "Bloody Sunday." And yeah, QT ain't untouchable ( Maybe Mamet comes closest, for better or for worse).

That being said, I love cocky filmmakers...I already love where this thread is headed

I'm sure there are some pretty rich Nigerians that could heip you. I see them all the time offering HUGE sums of money to help them get their money out of the country. :2vrolijk_08:

Blaine that is way too funny, yeah they say, cocky mofo's have a lot to proove. Lets hope he is as good as he says he is! "The world sure needs more good filmmakers".

I noticed that your film director resume didnt include any performances... at all really. It was just sort of, well... a car moving. Did you direct the car's performance?

Don't get me wrong. I think you might be better suited for second unit photography. That was good stuff.

What the F@#$ is going on here?

All that for a :30 CAR AD!?

gimme a break... I want the 30 secs back from reading that arrogant post.

Doooooode.... You're really feeling yourself huh? lol... The commercial was good, damn pro looking I might add. The reality is, most of us here can do that same commercial ourselves though. Get a cast/crew/good script and show us a movie homie. That's the real test. : P

Blaine, funny post. lol
