Help...i'm stranded on an island!! and I have some DVX100 questions

Is there any reason why you can't just buy what you need online??? As for your other questions, I think you need to surf this site thoroughly. Also it depends on how serious you are about shooting/video production in general. If you just doing it as a hobby then I wouldn't go all out with all the bells and whistles. I would start off with the DVX100A or B since it sounds like you don't have much experience. A lot of the equipment choices will come from personal preference. I use a Cartoni tripod but someone else might like Sachtler or Miller or Bogen! Go to www.bhphotovideo.com or www.evsonline.com and check those sites out to get started.

Who knows there might be someone selling a used DVX100B camera here on this site in the Marketplace/Buying section.

We used to have a Markertek distribution warehouse out there and they opened a storefront, but closed it a few months later.

By the time I left there, we'd finally gotten a decent rental house for pro video gear (VER). There's a couple of decent lighting rental places. But for buying stuff, no. Unless there's something new that's opened in the last 1.5 years?

dvx100shooter >> thanks, yeah I would buy online, almost bought from ebay but people here said the "package deal" was just useless junk added to the pack. I will check out those sites, definitely, and hopefully they ship to Guam via priority mail.

Barry>> wow, no shops on vegas for the dvx?

Yeah, looks like the online route is the best bet.

Thanks you guys.
