Either way, its not about you, you were just my perfect reference to my point. Its bout how a smart reality show contestant work the system. Like that America's got talent show, everytime they bring in little kids to perform, the British guy will protest and then America will vote them through. :grin:
 
I was kidding when I said I actually shed a tear....come on lol. If it was Jason or Adam I clearly said ide feel just as excited. It wouldn't matter who won, either way it would be awesome.

Yeah, I was a little shocked that Will won. I thought he was the lesser of the three, I just liked the others' films better. But oh well, at least he's got his shot and doesn't "lose his dream" or whatever he worried about all season.

The show was terrible though, I didn't like sitting through all the other films again, it could have been a small wrap-up episode but then it would lose its American Idol-like formula. The ending wasn't great, Steven Spielberg just came out and said basically "Well, kid, you did it, now come on and I'll show you your new office!" and then they start walking back through the gates of Dreamworks. Come on, that was it!? At least they could have shown the chocolate waterfall we all know Steven has!:laugh:
 
What is with all this armchair quarterbacking and resentment towards Will?

He is an exceptional storyteller. Given the pressure of participating in a Fox Reality Show and the constraints of making shorts on such a quick turn around, I am incredibly impressed and thought that his films were the most consistently strong of the contestants.

I thought all 3 finalists were great, any one of them would have made a deserving winner, and congrats to each of them.

One final note: I felt that the season ended way better than it started and hope they get a chance to do it again (with another DVXUser or 2 among the participants).

i thought the show was pretty decent overall. it seemed like a waste to replay the entire short films from the other contestants though in the finale. Adrianna looked hot in that dress. I voted for Jason, but his last short kind of fell flat so if people were judging him and Will based on their most recent work i see why Will won.

the only thing i didn't like was when they asked the contestants why they thought they should win. i felt like that was kinda irrelevant. i suppose if one of them had superior short films and was crowd favorite, but said he wanted to make films in order to get laid by hot chicks then he probably would have lost on that comment alone. carrie fisher would have probably had a fit. who cares why they want to make films you already know everybody is going to say they have wanted to do this since they were 6 weeks old, lol.

i don't have any resentment towards the guy. i think all three are good, Will the lesser of the three, if my opinion makes me an armchair quarterback (funny name btw, lol) then i'll see you at the superbowl.

armchair quarterback was in response to everybody talking about how he played up sympathy for his family. probably using the wrong analogy, but felt that line of discussion is just lame.
 
I stopped watching. Once they pull the plug on money and went to those horrid no-funds shorts, forget it.
 
I think she's talking about when they were showing those shorts they made a while ago and were showing them like they made them every week. I agree. Pretty lame milhouse.
I also think it's kind of lame to narrow it down to the top 3 and then just have people vote. No final videos? the last 2 shows just being recaps and an results show. bah.
 
they spent a fortune on that show.

my guess on the reason for no final movies was that they would have had to give the participants more time to do something worthy of the billing for a finale episode and they didn't want to take a week off.
 
I just watched the last three episodes. No final films? What a shitty show.

I was happy Will won just because he's likable...but he only did because he used the lame "my family will starve if you dont vote for me" thing.

I'm glad Spielberg didnt waste more than five minutes being in it. Truthfully I think the only reason I kept watching was for Adrianas boobs.
