Hello,

I saw on the Century Optics product list that there is lens for DVX100 and lens for HDR-FX1.

For DVX100
0VS-06WA-DVX .6X WIDE ANGLE ADAPTER DVX - $475.00

For HDR-FX1
0VS-06WA-HDS .6X HD WIDE ANGLE ADAPTER HDV - $475.00

What is the difference?

I want to buy a VS-06WA-HDS for my AG-DVX100.
Is-it a bad idea?

Century/Schneider lenses use a bayonet lens mount. The FX1 lens physically won't fit on the DVX.

The CAVision probably uses screw-in lens threads, and so would fit on any 72mm-thread camera. Don't know about the relative quality though.

Similar question... I have a 0VS-06WA-DVX .6X WIDE ANGLE ADAPTER for my DVX100A
Bayonet mount. The DVX and the Canon A1 both are 72mm with bayonet mounts. I think I know the answer, but is there any chance this adapter will also work on the A1?

Century/Schneider can re-mount it for you though. The question is whether the glass is sharp enough to work for HD. If so, you could probably get it re-mounted for a reasonable price.
