Best settings for Transfer to Film

Based on the information provided in the forum it looks like 1080/24PA is the best combination for getting the highest image quality and film look - Just wanted to find out at what stage should i perform advanced pulldown removal - FCP will be used to capture footage from P2 Cards into Quicktime files.

Are there any specific settings in FCP that need to be used to ensure that during the conversion the footage would remain 24FPS (Advanced pulldown removal).

Also are there any other issues i need to be aware of with this mode and FCP capture.

Storage is not an issue . We are looking for the highest quality image that HVX 200 with 35 MM PS Teknik adapter can give us while providing the best option for film transfer

The best settings are going to be dependent on which film transfer house you're planning on using. For editing, 1080/24pA is definitely best, but for image settings etc., you should definitely consult with your film transfer house, such as www.dvfilm.com.
