hey guys, me and my company just purchased a redrock m2 35mm lens adapter for our hvx's and now we are hunting for a mattebox that will fit. I have seen the redrock's, which is not out yet, and hyson's x hd mattebox, which is also not out. is there any hd (16:9) matte boxes OUT that fit 35mm? We need one immediately, even if its not the "best." Any suggestions are welcome.

uh...yea...any others? this ones doesnt even say it fits 35mm and im not paying $2k for a universal mattebox. definitely not "quite simply the best quality and most fully featured unit available for professional camcorders - From DV to HD! Better still, for a high-end unit it is priced very competitively! "

Any widescreen mattebox, from cavision to chrosziel.... will fit any of your 35mm lenses with the appropriate donut to round your lens in the mattebox housing. When you say "fit 35mm," it really depends what the lens diameters are. I have a couple of donuts because my lenses range from 58 to 72mm.
If you don't wanna spend much for the mattebox, then I suggest taking a look at Cavision, Geardear, Cinevate...

I can recommed the Geardear for the use with the M2. Fits to many different setups and cameras, and it is not expensive. Have a look on their website www.geardear.com .
And the Redrocks will not fit to your HVX200 directly, as I have heard. The Geardear does, and to many others - if not to all...
