Didn't have any luck finding a used case so I found another solution. I bought a Datrek Tomato Travel Case for Golf clubs. In Canada it was on sale for $138.00 and my soft pelican tripod case and sachtler fit in it perfectly! It comes with a lock that won't do much more than keep the curious out, but it has wheels, it bright red and easy to spot in the baggage area and has ample room for a stand or two and then some. We will see how it does on the road with the airlines in the next month!
Looking for a Nalpak or something tough for my Sachtler.Closed length at least 48" and diameter minimum 8" max 10". Going on the road and anticipate serious airline baggage abuse and I will be out there for a while.
So if you just came back from touring and want to unload your heavy hard case. I will take it off your hands .
